# Ways to capture leads

> Every way a lead can enter your workspace.

Caard records where every lead came from as its **source**. Pick the method that fits the moment — they all end up in the same lead list.

## In person (mobile app)

| Method | How it works | Source |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------ |
| [QR scan](/capture/scanning) | Scan a LinkedIn QR code; Caard pulls in the profile | QR scan / LinkedIn |
| [Business card](/capture/scanning) | Photograph a paper business card; Caard reads the text | Mobile entry |
| [Event pass](/capture/scanning) | Frame an attendee badge to capture their details | Mobile entry |

All mobile capture methods work [offline](/capture/offline-capture) — leads save to your device and sync when you're back online.

## On the web

| Method | Where | Source |
| --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------ | ------------ |
| Manual entry | **Leads → Create lead** | Manual |
| [CSV import](/capture/import-csv) | **Leads → Import → CSV** | CSV import |
| [Capture links](/capture/capture-links) | **Leads → Settings → Capture links** | Capture link |

## After capture

Every new lead can be:

* **Enriched** automatically with company and contact data — see [Enrichment](/leads/enrichment)
* **Scored** against your ideal customer profile — see [ICP scoring](/leads/icp-scoring)
* **Linked to an event** when captured during one — see [Working an event](/events/working-an-event)
* **Synced to your CRM** if your workspace has one connected
